Blueprint and Model Competition

In 1995, the first Blueprint and Model Competition was held. The annual Blueprint and Model Competition is open to Polk County high school students. Students enter blueprints in two categories: Basic and Advanced. There is also a model home category. Entries are judged by members of the Polk County Builders Association. Cash prizes are awarded to the 1st, 2nd and 3rd places in each category. The students receive sholarships between $100 and $400. This is a prime opportunity for the Polk County Builders Association Foundation to emphasize the opportunities available in construction to those who are now contemplating college and a future career.
